South Africa Recap

Hey guys! I just finished the South Africa leg of my Summer trip. Altogether I was in South Africa for three weeks, I was in Johannesburg (Joburg or Jozi) for two weeks and Cape Town one week. It is always nice coming back to my home country and seeing its different parts.

My hometown Johannesburg is known as the largest city in South Africa and the second largest city in Africa. It is not one of South Africa's three capitals but it is the capital and largest city of Gauteng, which is the wealthiest province in South Africa. When people ask me "Oh so you're from Africa, are there lions in the streets?" LOL just kidding that has never happened to me, but when people think of Africa they typically think of safaris and the Big 5 but metropolitan cities never come to mind.  Joburg is a very metropolitan city, it is often described as Africa's economic powerhouse. Jozi is home to the largest mall on the continent, Sandton City. Sandton is one of the wealthiest suburbs in Johannesburg and is often called "The Richest Square Mile in Africa". This trip I never went to the bush on a safari, but I visited the newly renovated Lion & Safari Park which is definitely a must when in Johannesburg! There are endless activities at the park, they have lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, giraffes, etc. All of which you can have up close and personal interactions with and snap a few good instas (I mean did it really happen if you didn't snap a pic?!) I'm a huge thrill seeker and love rollercoasters (I'm literally a 13 year old boy LOL), whenever I'm in Jozi I make a point to go to Gold Reef City which is the coolest theme park and casino in Africa. It has an authentic Joburg mining theme with the craziest rollercoasters you can imagine.  As for all the fellow foodies out there, my favorite restaurants in Joburg are Pigalle's, Signature, Marble and Tasha's. Pigalle's is the most amazing seafood place that gets prawns, langoustines, and lobster shipped in daily for Mozambique. Tasha's is a chain of cafes in South Africa, each cafe is inspired after an international city and they intermix the theme of that city into the cuisine. After a nice dinner, it always a good idea to hit the club or a bar and let your hair down. The nightlife in Johannesburg is vibrant and there are so many fabulous venues, some of the best are Churchills, Madison Avenue Rivonia, ONYX Sandton, Hashtag and Hell's Kitchen. Johannesburg is definitely a stop you should make if you ever come to South Africa.

Cape Town is a coastal city in South Africa, and the capital of the Western Cape province as well as the legislative capital of South Africa. I stayed at the One & Only Cape Town which is conveniently located in the V&A Waterfront. The V&A Waterfront is one of my favorite areas in Cape Town, it has hotels, retail stores, dining and entertainment facilities. There is also a marina with boats and yachts for hire. One night, my family and I went on a sunset cruise and it was lovely to see the vast beauty of this coastal gem from the oceanic perspective. The city has several well-known natural features that attract tourists, one of the most notable is Table Mountain. Many tourists flood to this new natural wonder of the world each day,  many reach the top of the mountain by hiking up or by taking the Table Mountain Cableway. I always love visiting Hout Bay for its stunning landscape and delicious fish and chips. After a brief visit to Hout Bay we drove along Chapman's Peak Drive which is the most breathtaking view (literally breathtaking beacase of the wind) of the Atlantic Ocean and mountains. We also drove to Simon's Town which is one of South Africa’s oldest towns and Naval bases. In Simon's Town, we visited the African Penguin colony at Boulder’s Beach where we saw penguins in their natural habitat...yes it was a bit smelly but their adorable faces made it worth the while. One day we took a day trip to Stellenbosch which is the center of the cape winelands and the second oldest European settlement in the province, after Cape Town. While in Stellenbosch we went wine tasting at Tokara which is a magnificent wine estate that embodies the philosophy that good wine, good food and good art go together to make a good lifestyle. After we got a little tipsy HAHA, we took a brief walk across the street to the Delaire Graff Estate. The estate has a spectacular view of their vineyards with mountains settled in the background. The estate boasts a large collection of Laurence Graff’s personal art and jewellery collection. There are also three restaurants on the property, but we dined at the Delaire Graff Restaurant which has a relaxing terrace that serves bistro-chic cuisine, with spectacular views of the valley. Afterwards, we took a trip into the main town to see Stellenbosch University and the quaint Cape-Dutch style shops and restaurants. When we got back to Cape Town we ate at Nobu which is in the One & Only, Nobu is always a favorite for me no matter what city I'm in.

South Africa is the diamond of africa with its natural beauty, incredible resources, and  lively culture. I hope you all get the opportunity to visit this gorgeous country!

South of France Recap

Hey posh people! I know I've been MIA but I guess you could say I've just been living my best life HAHA. I've been traveling all summer long and have been to London, Monte Carlo, St. Tropez, Cannes, Johannesburg, and Cape Town so far and I'm leaving for Portugal in a couple days.

Paloma Beah in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat

The South of France is one of my favorite places in the world it is the epitome of elegance and beauty. I stayed at the Hotel Hermitage in Monte Carlo, Monaco which was a stunning hotel with a convenient location with close proximity to the luxury shops, casino, Cafe de Paris, etc. There's endless options for gastronomic experiences in Monte Carlo but my favorite restaurants in Monte Carlo were Buddah Bar and Bagatelle. Buddha Bar is a very vibey and trendy Asian fusion restaurant with great music, fabulous decor, cool cocktails and of course delicious food! I had my birthday/4th of July dinner at Bagatelle. The restaurant was decked out with the cutest American themed decorations and the waiters were all wearing red, white, and blue and the hostess was dressed as the Statue of Liberty...they even had a beer pong table outside LOL! They also had a great playlist of America's greatest hits and you bet I was singing along obnoxiously, especially when the Fresh Prince of Bel Air song came on (Yes I know, I'm the WORST HAHA). On my birthday, I was surprised by my family with a private helicopter trip to St Tropez. While in St Tropez, we went to Le Club 55 where they also went full-out for the 4th! It was definitely the best birthday yet!

On the first day in Monte Carlo we went to Nikki Beach which is a super fun beach/day club located on the rooftop of the Fairmont. I recommend getting a day bed or cabana with bottle service for the ultimate experience. On the second day, we took a yacht from Cap D'Antibes to Cannes. Once we docked in Cannes and went to the most beautiful "Locals Only" type of  beach and ate a restaurant called L'Aiguille (I wish I could remember the name of the beach). Then, we took a walk on La Croisette in Cannes and shopped a little. Another day we went to Paloma Beach in Sain-Jean-Cap-Ferrat which is a breathtaking part of the French Riviera. That night we met up with some family friends in Villefranche-sur-mer and watched the fireworks in the old town which was absolutely spectacular.

I love the French Riviera and recommend it for you next European trip!

Beaver Creek and New York Recap

Hey guys, hope you all enjoyed the holidays, wishing you all a belated Happy Holidays and New Year! As you may know, I recently took a trip to Beaver Creek and New York City, so I’m going to be sharing a little recap with all of you on the blog today ❤️

Ever since I was a little girl it’s been a Christmas tradition for my family and I to spend our holidays in Beaver Creek, Colorado and New York City. Having grown up in Southern California it never really felt like Christmas due to the hot weather, so getting to have a white Christmas every year made up for it. Beaver Creek makes me feel like I’ve escaped to the Alps, if I didn’t see the Colorado flag waving around everywhere I would probably not even realize I was in Colorado. Each time I go to Beaver Creek, I stay at the residential suites at the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch. The Ritz Carlton is a stunning hotel which is ski in-ski out and is located on its own mountain called Bachelor Gulch which is only a ten minute shuttle ride or a thirty minute ski to Beaver Creek mountain. As for aprés ski, some fun activities to check out are snowmobiling and ATVing, they are exhilaratingly fun activities that the whole family can enjoy no matter the age. Also, ice skating in the village is a festive activity, especially for the kids. Beaver Creek has its very own quaint ski village with a ice skating rink, boutiques, hotels, and restaurants. Also, Beaver Creek is only a twenty-five minute drive from Vail which is also another lovely ski town that has a similar village. Dining in Beaver Creek/Vail is amazing, some of my favorite restaurant include: Splendido, WYLD, Mountain Standard, Zach’s Cabin, and Beano’s Cabin. Each of those restaurants serve mountain style food from gourmet steaks to fondue and foie gras that is to die for. Beaver Creek is a must for a fun and elegant winter retreat!

New York City is arguably one of the best cities in the world, from the massive concrete skyscrapers to the thrilling vibe you feel walking the streets...New York is always a good idea. Whenever I’m in New York I stay at the Four Seasons Hotel on East 57th, the hotel is located in the heart of the city, and is only a block away from Fifth Avenue and steps away from Central Park and Museum Mile. I did so many fun things while I was in the city; I shopped til I dropped, explored SoHo and other trendy areas, browsed a few galleries, ate my heart out, and did some site-seeing. First off, the shopping in New York is AHHHHMAZING! Some of my favorite department stores and boutiques to shop at include: Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, Barneys, Kirna Zebetê(street wear), What Goes Around Comes Around (vintage), and Kith(street wear). Whether it’s the latest ready to wear styles or awesome street-style looks, New York stores have something to offer for every type of fashionista. Also, I hit all the after-Christmas sales which was great. For more touristy activities I recommend going to galleries and museums because it is a great way to escape the cold NYC air, some of my favorite galleries are: The Whitney, MoMA, The Met, Solomon R. Guggenheim, and Cooper Hewitt. Museum Mile is filled with amazing museums that will interest anyone at any age. Also, in SoHo and Nolita there are some cool showrooms and galleries that showcase more trendy and modern art and fashion. While I was in NYC, I saw the Louis Vuitton Exhibit which was absolutely incredible, it had all the luggage and handbags from the 1800s until now. Unfortunately, the exhibition is a special showcase and is open for a certain amount of time but there are pictures on my Instagram and online so you can still see the stunning collections. As you all may know, I’m such a foodie, some of my favorite restaurants and trendy cafes I ate at were: The Grill (formerly known as the Four Seasons), Vandal, Pietro Nolita, The Butcher’s Daughter, The Sugar Factory, The Garden, Milk, Dō, Vacluse, and Pizza Rollio at the Plaza Food Halls. I believe that decor, presentation, quality, and atmosphere make a restaurant or café, all of these restaurants are delicious and super cute Instagram-worthy spots....never forget “the camera eats first”😜 I had an amazing time in New York and hope you all check out these lovely places next time you’re in the city!

XOXO LOVE, PASCALE 💋

London for Thanksgiving

Hey guys, sorry I’ve been M.I.A for a bit. As you may know I was just in London last week for Thanksgiving.

Anyone who knows me know that I LOVE LONDON, I mean seriously who doesn’t?! London is such a vibrant and culture-filled city. From fashion, food, music, and art London has a special something for everyone.

As per usual, I stayed at the Four Seasons Park Lane which is such a beautiful hotel with amazing service. It is by far my favorite hotel in London, and yes I may be a little biased as I’ve been staying there since I was born!

As you know, I’m such a foodie and London is a food lovers paradise. Over the course of the week we dined at serval restaurants and cafes: Blacklock, Amaranto, Frescobaldi, Dominique Angel Bakery, 34 Mayfair, Elan Cafe, and Pan Chai Harrods. Blacklock is basement restaurant and bar in SoHo that specializes in for meat chops and fancy cocktails. It was such an amazing value for money restaurant and is definitely a must when you go to London. Amaranto is the restaurant in the Four Seasons, we ate a lovely Thanksgiving dinner there. It is so chic and it has consistently good service and food. Every time I am in London I make a point to stop by Frescobaldi, it is truly one of the best Italian meals anyone could ever have. Not only are the ambiance and decor stunning, but you truly feel like you have escaped to Sardinia for the meal. The Dominique Ansel Bakery in Chelsea has some of the most intricate and extraordinary desserts I have ever seen, whether it is the chocolate chip cookie shots or the blooming marshmallow hot chocolate, the DA bakery very impressive. Elan is a new cafe located next to the Dorchester in Mayfair. It is a perfectly instagram worthy place for a quick tea break or a late lunch. As you may already know, I am obsessed with the Harrods food hall, especially the amazing Japanese restaurant, Pan Chai. Their fried rice is a piece of art, it literally comes in a seashell served with amazing Asian spices and flavors from the Far East. Make sure to check out all these foodie places next time you are in London!

London is considered one of the fashion capitols of the world and rightfully so. Whether you are meandering Bond Street or looking in awe at the latest fashions in the windows of Harrods, London has fashions that are to die for. I love shopping at Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, Dover Street Market, Bond Street, Oxford Circus, and many more! The department stores in London are stunning, each one out-does the next, from the marvelous window to the collections available each store has a unique display of the latest and hottest goods straight off the runways. Christmas time in London is magical, especially with all the lights displayed all around the city, but Harrods stole the show with their stunning Dolce & Gabbana window displays and their Christmas decorations. Inside Harrods, there is a D&G Market for the holidays, it is so cute and is done up like an Italian Christmas market. London is also great for street style shopping, especially at the Dover Street Market Store in St. James’. There’s every streetwear brand imaginable from Commes Des Garçon to Supreme to Adidas and even a lovely selection of Gucci and Celine.

As for activities in London, there are endless options. One of my favorite things to do is to take a river cruise on the Thames from the London Eye to the Tower of London. I also love going for walks in Mayfair from Hyde Park all the way to Piccadilly and through Green Park. The magical Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park was open when I was there last week. The Winter Wonderland is great family fun for all ages with endless rides, fair games, Christmas markets, food stages, bars, etc. I always see a West End show when I’m in town, this time I saw School of Rock which was to my surprise a very comical and energetic show.

All in all, this trip was truly amazing and London never ceases to amaze me with its fantastic city life!

10 Ways to be at the Top of your Fashion Game this Fall

1. Wear Over-the-Knee Boots:  From flats to stilettos, I love this look. They’re so versatile and can be worn with everything from jeans to skirts.
2. Fall Patterns: Play around with patterns this fall. Plaid, fall florals, or subtle stripes can work for almost any occasion. They can be dressed down with a suede flat or dressed up with a heel or booties.
3. Denim For Days: Denim is always in, but is a Fall essential. Spice up your denim by adding anything from embellishments, to patches or embroidery, or even some fringe. Also keep your figure flattering with 70’s inspired flares, because they are all the rage this season.
4. Military Chic:  Green and khaki hues are an easy go-to, throw on a camo jacket with some awesome combat boots and you'll be ready to take on any challenge.
5. You're the Bomb: Bomber jackets are a great style choice for both the young and the young at heart. It is the perfect cool and casual wardrobe choice.
6. Biker Chic: Throwing on a leather biker jacket is the quickest way to make any look immediately edgy while feeling like you can conquer the world. Adding snazy zippers and fringe to your typical leather are also super in.
7. It's all about texture: From velvet to suede and fur, texture is a must! Whether it's a dress, outerwear, shoes, or bag bring your A game with the texture game.
8.Furry Friends: Make any Fall outfit night or day instantly chic with a cute fur coat or gilet.
9. Fringe Frenzy: Fringed skirts and dresses give a playful and lively look for Autumn.
10. Layer Layer Layer Whether you are layering jewelry or clothing, pile of the layers! When you're transitioning your summer pieces to something fashionable for fall, layering is key. Try a turtleneck top either under a cami dress or pair a cute graphic t-shirt with a nice jacket.

Gen Z Yellow

Step aside, Millennial Pink you've been overthrown by Gen Z Yellow. Millennial Pink may have been the color of 2016, but Gen Z Yellow is the hottest new pop of color for Fall/Winter 2017! Gen Z Yellow is everywhere, and it hasn't even peaked yet! Whether it's trying to imitate Positano lemons or a bumblebee, Gen Z Yellow is a must have color in your arsenal of street style wear.

You may have noticed recently that your Instagram feed is no longer a rosie-posie blur but rather a beam of yellow sunshine. Celebs like Kylie Jenner, Selena Gomez, Zendaya, and Kaia Gerber have all been sporting this HOT new trend. Just like millennial pink, Gen-Z Yellow is not one particular shade, but rather several shades. Gen Z Yellow can be described as buttercream to melted butter, even mustard, and beyond. By January of 2018, your Instagram will probably look like a banana peel.

Gen-Z Yellow is the natural evolution of millennial pink. The color yellow is a happy color that remains pleasing-to-the-eye. It has zest, energy, and optimism. You may be thinking, I can't pull off Yellow?! And you may be right, but Gen Z Yellow isn't about whether you can or cannot pull it off, it’s not meant to be flattering because it's a trend. Like other recent trends such as impractical shoes or weird vintage sunglasses, Gen Z Yellow is considered a statement color not a classic. Are you daring enough to wear this trend?! Well I sure as heck am!

5 Skin Tips to Take You From Summer to Fall

I am by no means a dermatologist, but I do see one regularly, so here are some tips and tricks to keep your skin fresh in this summer to fall transition.

1. Consider switching your cleanser:  I cannot stress enough the importance of washing your face daily. Personally, I was my face in the morning and and night to prevent breakouts and keep my skin as fresh as possible. For some skin types, especially the drier types, it’s a good time to switch to a more moisturizing option during the season transition to Fall. If you are currently using a glycolic based cleanser, switch to a natural cleanser with less harsh ingredients. For more oily skin types, you can likely continue with your summer cleanser in the P.M., but may want to switch to a lighter cleanser in the A.M.

2. Exfoliating: There are numerous ways to exfoliate depending on your skin. I recommend exfoliating at night, whether using a beady scrub or exfoliating with a serum . The trick is to exfoliate at night so your skin can repair itself while you sleep so you can wake up the next day glowing.

3.   Load up on the Vitamins: Not only are vitamins beneficial to your immune system but they are fabulous for your skin. When Vitamin C is applied topically as a serum, it creates a beautiful glow. Serums and sunscreen are best used in the morning to helps fend off UV-Rays.

4.   Moisturizer: Some over-the-counter moisturizers have petroleum-based ingredients that can actually further dry your skin in the winter months. Be sure to choose a smart formula that has natural, nourishing ingredients not toxic ingredients that will further dry out your complexion. Go for an oil-based rather than a water-based solution, as it’s more likely to help your skin retain moisture in the winter.

5. Humidify: Heating systems dry out the air, so consider installing a humidifier in your home, particularly in your bedroom, to put moisture back into the air and help prevent your skin from drying out.

Summer Travels Recap

Hey fashionistas! I'm so sorry I've been absent on the blog for the past six months! Yikes! As some of you may know I've been dealing with some health issues but I'm trying to get back on track with blogging at the moment.

As seen on social media, I spent my summer traveling throughout Europe and South Africa as I normally do. I visited London twice this summer, once in early July and once in early August. London is one of my favorite cities in the world due to its English charm, international zest, and architectural wonders. As always we stayed at the lovely Four Seasons in Hyde Park. I've stayed at many other hotels in London but keep returning to the Four Seasons due to its impeccable staff, wonderful service, and lavish hotel rooms. You can never go wrong with eating in London, whether it's a hole-in-the-wall café or a Michelin Starred restaurant. Some of my favorite restaurants include: Frescobaldi (Italian), Casa di Stefano (Italian), The Square (French haute cuisine/Michelin star), Seven Park Place (French/Michelin star), Noura (Lebanese), Oblix (Urban grill), StreetXO (Asian and European fusion), Ottolenghi (Cafe). As for shopping, some of my favorite streets and department stores include: Harrods, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Bond Street, Oxford Circus, Piccadilly Circus, and Carnaby Street. Nightlife in London is spectacular due to the unique concepts and themes each bar or club creates: Cirque Le Soir, Ministry of Sound, Drama, Milk & Honey, Lights of SoHo, Gong, and Amaranto are some of the best in the city.

South Africa is my home country…a country filled with vast natural beauty and amazing cities. My family lives in Johannesburg so we spent quite a lot of time there. The restaurants and coffee shops in Joburg are amazing…in fact South Africa is home to my favorite chain of cafès EVER…Tasha’s!!! Tasha’s is incredible, they have a different menu at every location and a different theme to go along with the menu. A few of my favorite restaurants in Joburg include: Signature (steakhouse), Don Armando (Argentinian), Marble (steakhouse), Pigalle (seafood), and Mezepoli (Greek). As for sightseeing there are quite a few things I always do: Gold Reef City (amusement park), The Lion Park (daytime safari), and the Johannesburg Zoo. There are no shortages of shopping centers in Joburg…my top picks include: Sandton City, Melrose Arch, Rosebank, and Hyde Park. A few of the top clubs and bars include: VIP Room Sandton, 86 Public, Hogshead, Churchills and Rockets. My family and I escaped to our family beach house in Umhlanga for a week. Umhlanga Rocks is a upscale sleepy beach town 25 minutes north of Durban. Some of my favorite restaurants there are The Grill Room (Steakhouse) at the Oyster Box Hotel, Ocean Terrace, Little Havana (Cuban), and Old Town Italy (Italian). Some cool places to check out include: The Moses Mahdiba Stadium (fun fact: I climbed to the top and bunjee jumped down!), The Shark Board (daily live shark dissections), and Gateway Mall.

After spending a few weeks in South Africa, my family and I headed back to Europe. Next up on the agenda was Spain! In Madrid, we stayed at The Ritz which a a true classic. It is located in the heart of Madrid across from El Museo Del Prado. The food in Madrid was unbelievable! East restaurant was better than the next, each one had superb food, an excellent vibe, and cool decor. BiBo by Dani Garcia, DiverXO, DSTAGE, and Tatel are some of the top restaurants in Madrid and now my new favorites. I'm not ashamed to say but I'm most definitely one of those typical tourists that goes on a City Sightseeing bus…I know…I know those are touristy but in my opinion it is the cheapest and best way to see each city. The only problem I had was that my bus hit into a BMW outside the Museo Del Prado LOL! 😂 One day we hired a driver to take us to Toledo which a beautiful fortress 45 minutes away from Madrid. We spent the day walking the narrow cobbled stone Jewish quarter, admiring the art in the Cathderal, and  strolling through El Greco’s home. After a few days in Madrid, we headed to Mallorca. In Mallorca we stayed in the gorgeous Jumeriah Resort in Port Soller. The resort stood atop a mountain with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea and Port Soller. We spent our days in Mallorca yachting in the sea,  swimming in the Port, and strolling through Palma De Mallorca. One evening we took a trip to Deía which is an adorable village in the mountains. We went to Nikki Beach and spent the day parked out by the pool with amazing music and great vibes. Mallorca was truly spectacular!

After Mallorca we headed back to London for a few days and then took the Eurostar to Paris. In Paris, we stayed at the magical Four Seasons George V which is located on the famous Avenue George V. The hotel is stunning and has the most amazing floral displays. From eating our hearts out, to shopping till we dropped, to being touristy we truly did it all! My favorite restaurants in Paris are Epicure which is an amazing Michelin starred restaurant in the Hotel Bristol, Le Cinq which is a Michelin star restaurant in the George V, and Kong which is a very trendy Japanese restaurant with a view of the Eiffel Tour. We also saw the Dior exhibition at the Louvre which was the most beautiful display of designs I have ever seen! After seeing all the gorgeous designs at the Dior exhibit I was in the shopping mood. The best streets to shop on in Paris are Avenue des Champs Elysèes, Avenue Montaigne, Rue Saint Honoré, and Rue de Rivoli-Le Marais. One of the best department stores is Galleries Lafayette, that is a MUST when in Paris!

Overall, this trip was a trip of a lifetime and I'm so grateful and blessed to be able to see such wonderful places in the world! Thank you for reading and supporting this blog despite my absence over the last few months!

Beaver Creek & NYC Recap

Happy New Year fashionistas! As some of you may know I was just in Beaver Creek and NYC for the holidays, this has been a family tradition for years and my golly is it a blast!
First on the vacation agenda was the beautiful ski village of Beaver Creek, Colorado. My family and I always stay at the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch which is a charming ski-in/ski-out resort nestled on the base of the Bachelor Gulch mountain. We enjoy skiing in Beaver Creek due to the wide variety of slopes and breathtaking views. As for dining, Vail Valley offers a wide variety of restaurants. We loved spending Christmas Eve at Zach's Cabin (a fave spot of mine) which is an adorable cabin on the mountain that serves unbelievably delicious dishes and is famous for their nighttime sleigh ride up to the cabin. On Christmas Day, we ate at WYLD which is the new replacement for Spago's in the Ritz, the restaurant had incredible food and a delightful ambiance which made for a lovely dinner. Other nights we dined at Splendido, Zino, Sweet Basil, and many others. All of which were amazing and had unique cuisine. For Aprés Ski, I personally enjoying strolling through either Beaver Creek Village or Vail Village. A personal favorite, is the Remedy at the Four Seasons Vail, they  serve unusual concoctions and innovative food and create a special experience whilst staying cozy by a nice fire looking out onto the slopes. The village of Vail also has small shops and restaurants  which give the village a rustic Swiss Alps vibe while staying true to their Colorado/Western roots.

After a week in the mountains we hit up New York City for some fun! We stayed at the Four Seasons on East 57th street which is in the heart of the city. The FS is just steps away from Madison and 5th, which as you can imagine would be quite dangerous for me and my bank balance! Well of course I took advantage of our hotel's prime location and went straight to the shoe salon at Bergdorfs for their shoe sale (which btw was AMAZING)! You name it, they had it on sale, it was as if I had died and gone to shoe sale heaven. Honestly, when I die I want my ashes scattered in Bergdorfs because it is the Mecca of shops and it is every shopaholic's dream. After I broke the bank, my family and I ate at Cipriani's. If you know me well enough you can probably guess that I inhaled a giant bowl of pasta and had no regrets until I went on the scale the next morning. We also ate at Ty Bar, Le Bernardin,  and Jean Georges all of which are absolute gastronomy heaven. Whether it's a six course tasting menu or a street hot dog, Posh Talk loves her food and New York is the land of all things yummy. We also went to the Museum of Modern Art which was really impressive. SoHo is one of my favorite areas in NYC due to its eclectic vibe, one afternoon I went to Laduree (which as you know is my fave), a few Sample Sales, and What Goes Around Comes Around NYC. WGACA is a vintage store which sells vintage designer goods whether it's Hermes, Chanel, Gucci, or Prada it's honestly such a cool space and is SO CHIC! All in all NYC is such a spectacular city that can be so magical and inspiring, and as they say anything can happen in a New York minute!

Overall, this trip was so fun and fabulous and is definitely one for the books!

European Adventure

Hey Fashionistas, as you know I was just in Europe for my annual Summer vacation . First stop, London...London is my favorite city in the world because I love the metropolitan vibes with an old school Victorian era touch. My family and I always stay at the Four Seasons, Park Lane which is a stunning hotel located right in the heart of Mayfair. The staff are so friendly and the decor is gorgeous. As for what we did in London-the usual shopping on Bond Street, Oxford Street, and even Piccadilly. Also, we went to Selfridges and Harrods and did some serious damage due to the incredible sales. For restaurants we ate at several unique and amazing places. One of my favorite restaurants in the world is called, Frescobaldi which I recently discovered back in March. It is an Italian restaurant located just off Saville Row and past the Burlington Arcade that has touch of modern and unique Italian cuisine, it has a sister restaurant in Sardinia which is located in a resort which is part of the Luxury Collection Hotels. My favorite dish is their "Black Truffle Pasta" which is what I imagine my last supper on Earth being HAHA! We also dined at Hawksmoor which is a trendy steakhouse off Regent Street in an Arcade. Daphne's is another delicious Italian restaurant that has incredible food and lovely decor with an upbeat ambiance. We went to Daphne's for my mom's birthday dinner and we saw Prince Harry LOL!!! For high tea I always love going to The Ritz or Amaranto at the Four Seasons, they are two of the best in the city and always amaze me with their style and creativity.

After London we headed to Italy. We landed in Rome and took a scenic drive throughout the Italian countryside to head to Tuscany. On the way we saw the beautiful rolling hills and the huge factories of Gucci and Prada. In Florence, we stayed at the St. Regis which is located right on the River Arno in the center of town. It took about five minutes to walk to any part of the city and it was such a convenient location for catching those obnoxious Big Red Bus Tours...and yes I am one of those tourists who actually catches the tour buses HAHA, what can I say it's the cheapest and easiest way to see the entire city in a couple hours. One day we went to this shopping center called "The Mall" which has every luxury designer store on the planet. It was just fabulous, think of it as the shopping Mecca. The next day we went to Siena which is absolutely charming, it feels like a scene out of Romeo and Juliet. Right in the center of the town there is a breathtaking duomo (cathedral) and fortress where every July 6th they race on horses and carry flags bearing their family crest, Il Palio. It is one of the most famous things about Siena and would have been super cool to witness only if we stayed a few extra days. There were so many lovely shops and delicious gelaterias throughout the cobblestone streets, we even stumbled upon a carnerceria which had the best meats and cheeses from around Italy. It was so cool to see the local butchers how they love their craft and how special it is to them. The butchers want to keep the place a local secret so no pictures were allowed (sorry you can't see it 😭). Just picture ham and meat hanging from the ceilings and cheeses and wines put on display amongst the dark cherry wood. I know... I know...your probably thinking why do you think hanging meat in lovely but it's the fact that it's so typical of the Italians and it was so quaint. After a relaxing day of exploring Siena we headed to San Gimgnano which is also a medieval town modeled after Siena with a gorgeous duomo (cathedral) and fortress.

Next up was Rome, it is such an exciting city, filled with so much history and beauty no wonder why it's called the Eternal City. We stayed at the Hotel Baglioni which is right on the Via Veneto which is one of the most famous streets in the world and is known for the movie "La Dolce Vita". While in Rome, as you can guess I was such a tourist and hopped on one of the Big Bus Tours there...don't judge! We did some shopping on the Via Condotti which is like Heaven on Earth, from Gucci to Prada to Louis Vuitton they really have it all. After we shopped, we went to this very trendy café called Ginger which is on a side street off the Via Condotti. It was so refreshing to get a break from all the pasta and caprese salads I was eating to finally see a health food specialty restaurant. They had everything from açaí smoothies to green juices and the most incredible salads and sandwiches. It was one of my favorite restaurants. We also ate at one of my other favorites, Harry's Bar which is also on the Via Venetto and is known for having celebrities dining there. Picture this... a Bellini in hand (just kidding I'm not 18) and a yummy plate of pasta in front of you how much better can life be, am I right? Harry's Bar makes me feel like I'm living in an Italian movie.

After Rome we went back to London to celebrate my sixteenth birthday. On the third of July my family and I went to Wimbledon  and watched Serena Williams dominate on the courts. On the Fourth of July, which is my birthday, we went to morning breakfast at Amaranto which is our hotel (Four Seasons Park Lane's) restaurant. After a lovely breakfast, we went shopping on Bond Street which is my favorite street in the world, it's the classiest. Then, in the afternoon I went to high tea at the Four Seasons. For dinner we dined at Galvin at Windows which is a Michelin Star restaurant located on the top floor of the Hilton Park Lane and had 360 views of London. It was a spectacular evening and could not have been a better birthday!

All around this trip was so awesome and I am so grateful that I get to travel and see what the world has to offer and experience different cultures.

Bahamas Recap

Hey fashionistas! As you may know I just went on a little getaway to the Bahamas. It was a relaxing long weekend filled with some fun in the sun and memory making. My family and I stayed at The Cove at Atlantis on Paradise Island, Nassau. Atlantis is an incredible resort that has endless activities and breathtaking views of the turquoise waters. The first day was spent catching up with my family that lives in the Bahamas, we went to a Baptism and then chilled out by the pool celebrating my new baby cousin who is the cutest little munchkin alive. At night, my mom and I hit the shops at the Crystal Court in Atlantis which are fabulous. The Crystal Courts have everything from Gucci, to Versace, and even a Michael Kors. After we were all shopped out we walked around the vibrant Marina Village and indulged in typical Bahamian culture by enjoying the Junkanoo parade and traditional island music.

The next day we hit the beach and snorkeled and sun tanned. After an hour or so it started to rain so I quickly packed up my things and went back to the hotel room and planned on what indoor activities my family and I could do. The thing I love about Atlantis is that due to the incredible variety of activities many of them are outdoors, but there are quite a few that are indoors such as the arcade, kids center, aquarium, the shops, the pottery studio, gymnasium, and the library. We decided to hit up the arcade and play a few rounds of Guitar Hero and Video games, after that we went to Murray's Deli for lunch where we ate some New York style salads and sandwiches. I mean it was kind of ironic that my family who are from the States decided to eat New York style food, but as funny as it was for us it was an experience for my cousins who are Bahamian to eat typical New York style deli food. In the afternoon, we all got cleaned up for my other cousin's confirmation. It was such a lovely ceremony and afterwards we went to the One & Only Ocean Club for a gastronomic food experience at Jean George's Vacheron's restaurant called "The Dunes" which is on the water and has breathtaking views of the Carribean Sea.

On the Monday, we went to the Aquaventure area on the Atlantis Property so we could let loose and scare ourselves on the crazy water slides and river Rapids. After hitting all the major slides we headed to the Cove Beach so we could relax and have some lunch. The Cove Beach is my favorite on the property because it is only for Cove guests and there is a pool right on the sand, so if you want a little bit of beach and pool you can have the best of both. After spending the whole day in sun we all grew tired so we left Paradise Island and dropped my cousins back off on Nassau. Tuesday was our last day and we spent it at Aquaventure splashing around on the lazy river and thrilling ourselves on the power tower and Mayan temple rides. Sadly, our trip came to and end and it was time to face reality back home in San Diego. Every time I come back to San Diego I fall more in love with it  and realize that no matter where I go in the world, San Diego is such a beautiful and special place and that it's America's finest city!
